The University of Edinburgh International Undergraduate Scholarships
Ten undergraduate scholarships are offered to students for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the University. The scholarships will be worth £1,000 per year and will be tenable for the duration of the programme of study.
Eligibility
The scholarships are competitive and will be awarded to citizens from Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the USA who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an undergraduate programme of study.
The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit.
The scholarship is not available to students already on programme.
Applicants should have applied through UCAS, and should have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh by the scholarship closing date of 1 April 2009.

Selection Procedure
A University of Edinburgh Selection Committee will meet in early May 2009 to select the scholarship holders. The winners of the scholarship will be announced in late May 2009.

I intend to study actuarial science since I love maths very much.I am proud to say that I did well in Additional Mathematics although I do not take any tuition.Alas, I’m facing financial problems.My parents can ill-afford to pay for it.I will like to know is there any scholarship offer that I can apply? I’m going to sit for the SPM exam this year.

Thanks a lot for all these useful information provided.I’m really grateful as to get a chance to know all of these things that I never realise would be so important to me especially when I’m turning into 17 years old this year,therefore sitting for SPM.
Since I’m exposed to these information,I found out that I’m quite interested in subjects related to mathematics and additional mathematics as well as account.Therefore,I was wondering whether you can suggest any suitable courses for me together with the scholarships that I should have apply in order to achieve my dream????
p/s :I would not hope that my dreams will be affected by any of my financial problems.
