<p>The purpose of the International Scholar Exchange Fellowship is to enhance international exchange and cooperation in order to promote academic advancement and mutual understanding among various cultural groups. To this end, the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies supports academically qualified scholars who wish to conduct advanced research at leading universities or research institutions in Korea.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Center of Excellence in Desalination Technology (CEDT) at King Abdulaziz University (KAU) Announces the Graduate Studies Scholarship Admission for applicants from outside Saudi Arabia for the academic year 2011/2012</p>
<p>Apply through the Deanship of Graduate Studies at King Abdulaziz University, at Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, according to the following;</p>
<p>Admission requirements<br />
1. Age does not exceed (30) years for master degree applicant and (35) years for Ph.D applicant.</p>
<p>2. An approved official academic qualification of grade not less than «Very Good», if the degree offered in grades in the applicant home country.</p>
<p>3. One of the following Score in English language exams:</p>
<p>IELTS 5<br />
TOEFL (IBT) 61<br />
TOEFL (CBT) 170<br />
TOEFL (PBT) 500</p>
<p>4. Good conductance and medical Condition.</p>
<p>5. Two letters of recommendations from previous instructors.</p>
<p>6. Applicant should not be dismissed from one of the educational institutions in the Kingdom.</p>
<p>7. Certificates should be certified from the Saudi embassy in applicant’s country.</p>
<p>Scholarship privileges<br />
1. A monthly gratuity of (2900 SR) for master students and (3400 SR) for Ph.D students.</p>
<p>2. An accommodation allowance (1800 SR) when scholarship student arrives to Jeddah.</p>
<p>3. Health care will be provided for the student.</p>
<p>4. Providing housing and suitable scientific, social, cultural and training care.</p>
<p>5. Procurement of discounted meals.</p>
<p>6. One time award of (3000 SR) for master students, and (4000 SR) for Ph.D students as allowance of word processing of thesis.</p>
<p>7. Graduation award for books cargo (2700SR).</p>
<p>8. Two way tickets to the student annually.</p>
<p>Required documents<br />
1. Curriculum vitae for the applicant.</p>
<p>2. Statement of purpose for the specialization to be enrolled.</p>
<p>3. A copy of graduation certificate (certified from Saudi Embassy).</p>
<p>4. A copy of transcript (certified from Saudi Embassy).</p>
<p>5. Two scientific recommendations from previous instructors.</p>
<p>6. A copy of valid passport.</p>
<p>Tasks and duties of scholarship student<br />
In addition to joining graduate study programs, scholarship student should carry out suitable academic and technical work for his specialization, so that this will not affect his academic performance and education quality of KAU.</p>

<strong>Scholarship Description</strong>:The University of Tsukuba offers programs through which international students studying at the University of Tsukuba at the undergraduate level can earn their academic degrees by taking classes only in English (hereinafter referred to as “Degree Programs in English”).The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support for exceptional international students who are applying to enter the Degree Programs in English at the undergraduate level, thereby contributing to the cultivation of people who can make future contributions to international society.<br />
<strong><br />
Duration of Scholarship</strong><br />
The duration of the scholarship will be from the first month of entering the university until the end of the applicable academic year (August 2011 to March 2012).<br />
From April 2012, students may apply for other scholarships from the University of Tsukuba or from other scholarship-granting organizations or bodies.</p>
<p><strong><br />
Scholarship Amount Details</strong></p>
<ol>
<li> Travel expenses: The scholarship will pay a uniform amount of 100,000 yen for travel expenses to Japan from abroad when entering the University of Tsukuba. However, this travel expense payment is limited to those recipients who will be newly coming to Japan from abroad for the purposes of entering the University of Tsukuba. This amount will be transferred to recipients? bank account along with their first scholarship after they have joined the University.</li>
<li>Monthly stipend: Scholarship recipients will receive one of the following monthly stipends based on their results in the entrance examination etc.</li>
<blockquote><p>Class 1: 100,000 yen per month<br />
Class 2: 60,000 yen per month<br />
Admission fee and first-year tuition exemptions: In addition to the above noted travel expenses and monthly stipend, scholarship recipients will receive exemptions from paying their admission fee (a one-time only fee of 282,000 yen) and their first-year tuition (from August 2011 to March 2012, 357,200 yen), for a total of 639,200 yen.</p></blockquote>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) was established in April 1988 with financing from the Government of Japan. The objective of the program is to provide an opportunity for well qualified citizens of the Bank’s Developing Member Countries (DMCs) to undertake postgraduate studies which will assist the economic and social development of their countries.<br />
Who is eligible?</p>
<p>Citizens of developing member countries of the Bank (see list and selection criteria below) who have a minimum of two years’ working experience and who are eligible for admission to the following degree programs at the University of Sydney:</p>
<p>    * Master of Economics<br />
    * Master of Commerce<br />
    * Master of International Business<br />
    * Master of Transport Management<br />
    * Master of International Public Health<br />
    * Master of Engineering</p>
<p>Please note, applicants living or working outside their home country are not eligible for this scholarship. Also, no applicant will be allowed to apply for the ADB-JSP scholarship more than two times.</p>

<p>Description:</p>
<p>Established in 2009 by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC), the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme aims at attracting the best and brightest students in the world to pursue their PhD programs in Hong Kong’s institutions.</p>
<p>Eligibility</p>
<p>Those who are seeking admission as new full time PhD students in UGC-funded institutions of Hong Kong, irrespective of their country of origin and ethnic background, should be eligible to apply. Applicants should demonstrate outstanding qualities of academic performance, research ability / potential, communication and interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities.</p>
<p>The Fellowship</p>
<p>The Fellowship provides a monthly stipend of HK$20,0001 and a conference travel allowance of HK$10,0001 per year for the awardees for a maximum period of three years. 135 PhD Fellowships will be awarded for the 2010/11 academic year2.</p>
<p>1US$1 = HK$7.8 (rate for reference only)</p>
<p>2Academic year in Hong Kong normally starts in September.</p>
<p>Review Panels</p>
<p>Applications, subject to their areas of studies, will be reviewed by two Selection Panels with experts in the broad areas, one for science, medicine, engineering and technology and another one for humanities, social science and business studies.</p>
<p>Selection Criteria</p>
<p>While the academic excellence is of prime consideration, the Review Panels will take into account, but is not limited to, the four yardsticks below for the selection of candidates:</p>
<p>1. Academic excellence;<br />
2. Research ability and potential;<br />
3. Communication, and interpersonal skills; and<br />
4. Leadership abilities.</p>
<p>Application Process</p>
<p>The Scheme will call for application in early September 2009.</p>
<p>Each applicant may choose up to two programs in one or two institutions for PhD study when applying for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship. Application should be made through the Online Application System (OAS) which will be available in early September 2009. The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship application is also regarded as a formal application for admission to the PhD program(s) offered by the institution(s) concerned. Applicants are therefore required to fully comply with the admission requirements of their selected institutions and programs except the application deadline, which should strictly follow the stipulated deadline for the Fellowship scheme. <p>In parallel to the Fellowship application, each application will be processed by the relevant institution(s) as a normal application for PhD admission. <p>Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarships</p>
<p>The Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarships are available to students for either three or six months of intensive language study and cultural immersion in another country. This award provides funds to cover round-trip transportation, language training expenses, and homestay living arrangements. Applications are considered for candidates interested in studying Arabic, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, and Swedish.</p>

<p>Human Development Academic Fellowship</p>
<p>The aim of the Human Development Academic Fellowship for Asia and Pacific is to analyse issues from the human development perspective, with a focus on fostering creative thinking and innovative research among young people. The research must focus on a well-defined aspect of human development under the theme selected for the year (climate change and human development for 2009), and can be theoretical, applied, policy-oriented, or a combination. The Fellowship is intended for young PhD students, who are at an advanced dissertation stage working on a topic related to human development.</p>

<p>Human Development Media Fellowship</p>
<p>The objective of the Asia Pacific Media Fellowship is to contribute to building capacity in the Asia Pacific and support policy through advocacy and dissemination of research that bring people to the centre of development debates. The Fellowship encourages media professionals from Asia Pacific developing countries to undertake media advocacy on issues of concern in the region from a human development perspective on a new theme each year. The theme for the 2009 Media Fellowship is ‘Gender: Overcoming Political, Legal and Economic Inequality’.</p>
